Into The Future.

Future Diorama is a unique kind of project that I worked on. This project was an assignment from a teacher and I worked on it with two other students. We had to come up with ways to innovate the creative brainstorming processes. Originally we would have a big exposition to show off our ideas. In the end that did not happen according to plan. Because of the pandemic it was not safe for us to have a big exposition. When we figured that out, we had to come up with an alternative. That was a little big of a puzzle, but in the end we decided on making videos and putting them all together.

We all had our own objective, a personal focus, within the project. The main focus was innovative processes for all of us. But I focused specifically on the question: How can we innovate creative processes by transcending language in articulating and sharing ideas. I want this solution to help people who speak a different language and people who have a grant idea but cannot describe it to other people well enough to really share their vision.

My answer is: The Visionairs. In the video I will explain what Visionairs really are. My own video is first, after that follow the videos of the two students that I worked with. We brainstormed a lot together and helped each other during this project.

Script.

When you’re brainstorming and trying to come up with good ideas, it can often be difficult to explain your thoughts. Everyone just thinks differently. And on top of that, all people visualize ideas in different ways. So that is why we offer you this new product: Visionairs. Show your idea as clear as day for other people to see! The outside of the screens displays the brilliant idea the wearer has in mind. This way you’ll never again have difficulty explaining your ideas!

Take for example, language. When you’re brainstorming with people who speak a different language, it could prohibit you to explain your idea the clearest way it could be. Your fellow brainstormers might have a clear explanation in their heads, but they are often limited by the way they can describe it in their own language.

Other people think visually. Their heads are filled with clear, immersive images. Some, for example, with rough sketches, others with very detailed images combined with sound, texture and smell. These kinds of people might face difficulties enabling others to see their ideas in the same clear-cut way they do. Sometimes only words, just don’t do your idea justice, or you just can’t seem to explain it well enough for other people to really get it.

How frustrating is it, to come up with amazing ideas but feel you can’t explain it to other people. Seeing your vision and ideas so clear but lacking the proper tools to share them fully. Maybe you just don’t know where to start explaining or maybe you don’t want to begin to try, because it feels impossible to share your idea with others.
